Business Basics Grant Program – Round 3!

The Queensland Government has announced Round 3 of the Business Basics Grant Program!

What does this mean?
The Business Basics Grant Program is aimed at supporting businesses in the following areas:

  • Training & coaching
  • Website Build or updates
  • Professional business advice
  • Strategic marketing services
  • Business continuity & succession

How much funding is available?

Eligible businesses are able to apply for $5,000 (excluding GST). Please note, businesses who received Round 1 or 2 grant funding will not be eligible for Round 3.

Who is eligible?

For Round 3, there are two separate funding streams available depending on the business headquarters (primary place of business) locations. These locations include Regional Queensland & South East Queensland businesses within the following LGA (local government areas):

  • Brisbane City Council
  • City of Gold Coast
  • Ipswich City Council
  • Lockyer Valley Regional Council
  • Logan City Council
  • Moreton Bay Regional Council
  • Noosa Shire Council
  • Redlands City Council
  • Scenic Rim Regional Council
  • Somerset Regional Council
  • Sunshine Coast Council
  • Toowoomba Regional Council.

Businesses are classified as regional if the headquarters (primary place of business) location is any other local government area within Queensland that is not identified as a South East Queensland location.

To eligible for the grant, a business must:
– Have fewer than 20 employees
– Have a valid Australian Business Number (ABN)
– Be registered for GST
– Have a headquarter in Queensland
– Have an expected turnover of $300, 000 for the current financial year
– Not be insolvent or have directors/owners that are an undischarged bankrupt

When do applications open?

Applications open 9 am on Wednesday 4th of May 2022 with applications closing once sufficient applications have been received for both South East Queensland and regional locations. We recommend having your quotes ready prior to this date to avoid missing out.
